The exchange rate refers to the value at which one currency is exchanged for another. It indicates how much of one currency is required to buy a unit of another currency and serves as a key metric in international trade and finance. It can either be: Fixed Exchange Rate: Set and maintained by a country's central bank. Floating Exchange Rate: Determined by market forces such as supply and demand.
