Dash

Dash (formerly known as Darkcoin) is a fast-payment cryptocurrency created in 2014 using a modified version of Bitcoin's source code. It has since undergone significant improvements, making it a highly efficient and community-driven digital currency. Dash was designed to address Bitcoin's limitations, such as slow transaction speeds and limited scalability, by offering a faster and more user-friendly alternative. It is widely used for payments and remittances, particularly in regions where access to traditional banking is limited.
