Cipher

An algorithm that encrypts and decrypts information. A cipher is a method used in cryptography to convert readable data (plaintext) into an unreadable format (ciphertext) to protect its confidentiality. Only those with the correct decryption key can reverse the process and access the original information. Ciphers are widely used in securing digital communications, online transactions, and data storage.
